As of Sunday, March 27, 2022, Bitcoin (BTC) had recorded a decent +10.83% jump over the past seven days, as the benchmark cryptocurrency reclaimed the $46K top. However, on a year-to-date (YTD) basis, BTC is down by over 4% as the total circulating supply nears 19 million coins.

Latest reports show that $3.65 million worth of BTC (50 BTC) that got mined 11 years ago has moved for the first time. The report of the rejuvenation of the “sleeping Bitcoins” came from Btcparser.com earlier today. The report added that the freshly-moved coins originated from BTC rewards gotten on January 30, 2011.

Notably, Blockchair’s privacy-o-meter metric showed that this block of coins has a 100% “healthy” privacy rating, an anomaly considering most Bitcoins that have sat idle for over a decade.

That said, the sleeping 50 BTC transfer was worth $2.22 million at the time of transfer on block height 729,187.

Interestingly, another batch of sleeping Bitcoins from August 20, 2011, got reawakened shortly after the 50 BTC transfer. This time around, it involves 31.793 BTC, which got spent at block 729,248. This batch of newly transferred BTC had a weaker privacy rating than the first with a score of 74, which Blockchair described as “moderate.”

Key Bitcoin Levels to Watch — March 27

Bitcoin has recorded a fresh charge towards the $46K top as the benchmark cryptocurrency unexpectedly snapped the $45K barrier a few minutes ago. The flagship cryptocurrency now sits on top of the $46K level, after tapping the $46.6 high briefly.

According to the 4-hour chart, we can see a clean test and rejection from the top of my ascending channel, which currently coincides with the $46.3K top. BTC has now inched closer to the broader ascending trendline at the $47K axis. I expect a retest and a possible breach of the channel in the near term, as bulls pick up steam ahead of the new week.

Meanwhile, my resistance levels are at $46,600, $47,000, and $48,000, and my key support levels are at $45,000, $44,000, and $43,000.
