Ethereum network broke history by registering over 300,000 addresses in a day. With millions of wallet addresses on the Ethereum platform reaching hundreds of thousands over the week, the Ethereum network has experienced its second peak in 2022.
The increase implies that the platform is practically growing. Almost 150 thousand brand-new wallet addresses appeared on the Ethereum network last Saturday, according to statistics from a cryptocurrency data firm, “Sentiment”.
Ethereum Meets the Demand for Community Value
The last time they experienced this kind of growth was earlier this year (January 3), according to a tweet on their Twitter page, which happened to be the second largest growth Ethereum observed. According to a data firm, network expansion indicates that the network’s utility is increasing, which “often foreshadows prospective value breakout.”
The week’s significant rise also resulted in a new record for the total number of Ethereum wallet addresses that are on the network, now over 200 million distinct addresses as of Sunday. Apart from switching to proof-of-stake (PoS) referred to as the Merge on September 15th, 2022, Ethereum fans have always yearned for growth in Ethereum’s value and, subsequently, its price.
According to cryptonews.com, the Ethereum crypto foundation claimed that PoS may reduce the platform’s energy usage. It is also widely assumed that this might also lead to significant capital inflows from asset buyers.
