In a recent interview with CNN’s Julia Chatterley, CEO of Ripple (XRP) Brad Garlinghouse got quizzed on what would happen if Ripple Labs lost its legal battle with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
Garlinghouse expressed his confidence that his company would win the case but did not rule out the possibility of a loss, noting that “I think we will prevail, but as you say there is a chance that the court system does not go this direction.” Meanwhile, the CEO simultaneously highlighted Ripple’s recent growth across and beyond the United States.
Chatterley probed further by asking what would become of Ripple’s US operations if it loses this case, suggesting “alternative solutions” specifically for US customers. Garlinghouse answered this question affirmatively, explaining that:
“That certainly could be part of the solution. […]. But we could do that. We always sought about our product as to how to solve a customer’s problem first and foremost, and I think that served our growth, and it’s the reason we saw large activity, billions of dollars in transactions across RippleNet.”
Nonetheless, the chief executive officer dismissed the possibility of Ripple falling behind DeFi or stablecoins, as they cater to different use cases. He added that Ripple has forged a healthy relationship with a network of partners, including several central banks around the world, who believe in the payment solutions provided by Ripple.
Key XRP Levels to Watch — April 2
Ripple is currently trading in a healthy bullish momentum, as the seventh-largest cryptocurrency sets its focus on the highly-coveted $0.6000 resistance. That said, XRP needs to post a sustained break above the prevailing pivot zone ($0.5800 – $0.5400) over the coming hours or risk extending its consolidation under the $0.5800 and falling lower.
Nonetheless, the prevailing upbeat mood across the cryptocurrency market could produce additional boosts for Ripple before the end of the day.
Meanwhile, our resistance levels are at $0.5900, $0.6000, and $0.6200, and our support levels are at $0.5700, $0.5600, and $0.5500.
