Treasure, a decentralized gaming ecosystem, has officially launched and migrated its mainnet to ZKsync, an Ethereum Layer 2 scaling solution, in response to a community vote. Therefore, with this transfer of a large network of games, assets, and its native currency, MAGIC, to a new blockchain, this move represents a significant turning point for the project.
In September, DAO members determined that moving to ZKsync would better serve the project’s objectives, even though Treasure had previously been created on Arbitrum Orbit. To commemorate the launch, Treasure is also running promotions like giving away free NFT tokens. In light of this, the shift would present new prospects for web3 game producers and users.
Treasure’s Shift to ZKsync
Treasure initially planned to use Arbitrum Orbit for expansion, but after evaluating ZKsync’s features, they chose to switch. To scale gaming applications, ZKsync uses zero-knowledge aggregation, a method that speeds up and reduces transaction costs.

To this end, Treasure’s commitment to creating a decentralized and sustainable gaming platform is demonstrated by this migration. Therefore, hundreds of thousands of NFTs, large assets such as MAGIC, and over 15 games were moved from Arbitrum to ZKsync as part of the migration. MAGIC is the backbone of the ecosystem, facilitating elections and governance transactions.
Treasure hopes to increase scalability, reduce costs, and improve the user experience of its growing community by moving to ZKsync.
Commemorative Campaign and Ecosystem Growth
Treasure has started a “Decentralized Entertainment System: Cartridges” to commemorate its relocation. This program provides free NFTs that are modeled like vintage gaming systems, with a fresh cartridge every day. This campaign not only rewards the community but also reflects Treasure’s creative approach to engaging users.
The Treasure ecosystem is now home to popular Web3 game titles such as The Beacon, Zeeverse, and Wanderers. With several new games and major land-related events on the horizon, the project is booming. The migration allows Treasure to attract more developers and players looking for a powerful decentralized gaming platform.
Expectations
The move to ZKsync for Treasure is an important step for decentralized gaming. It will provide its community with a smooth experience using lower prices and faster transactions. However, with future events, campaigns, and new games, Treasure can become a leader in Web3 gaming and increase its influence in the blockchain industry.
