CEO of Cardano (ADA) and IOHK, Charles Hoskinson, appears to be squashing his long-lived dispute with Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin. Hoskinson praised the Russian-Canadian developer as mature and confident following his recent appearance on the Lex Friedman podcast.
Following an ironic acknowledgment of Cardano sometime in May, Buterin spoke at length (over eight minutes) about the project, noting that “it has interesting ideas.” The developer stated that:
“I do think that Cardano takes a bit of a different approach compared to Ethereum, and they emphasize these big academic proofs for everything. Ethereum tends to be more OK with heuristic arguments…There are some very interesting things that come out of the IOHK research.”
However, Buterin argued that the underlying academic rigor of Cardano was “overrated,” as most of its failures occur outside the model.
Hoskinson, who got ousted from Ethereum following some intense internal disputes with other co-founders, called the Ethereum blockchain a “dumpster fire” in March.
In his latest video posting, the IOHK CEO argued that Cardano operated in a much more mature and responsible manner than Ethereum.
Hoskinson will appear on the Lex Friedman podcast next week.
At press time, Cardano trades at $1.6800 and is down by over 9% on the day, following a sell-off in Bitcoin.
