American survey and analytics firm Gallup recently published new findings from its latest survey on Bitcoin (BTC) investing. The analytics company’s survey termed the Gallup Investor Optimism Index noted that there is “more momentum among investors younger than 50.”
In 2018, Gallup’s research revealed that only 2% of investors own Bitcoin (BTC). However, that number has grown to 6% in 2021. Participants in the survey (American citizens) noted that they possessed roughly $10k in Investments like equities and bonds. Additionally, the survey company stated that the number of Bitcoin owners increases for younger generations. The report detailed that:
“Ownership is up a more impressive ten percentage points, to 13%, among investors aged 18 to 49. It remains minimal among investors aged 50 and older; just 3% now say they own it, versus 1% three years ago.”
Also, Gallup revealed that 8% of investors with less than $100,000 invested and 6% of those with $100,000 or more invested currently own it. Meanwhile, the analytics firm stated that male investors are three times more active than female investors in the BTC market, with 11% of male investors and 3% of female investors being owners.
Interestingly, Gallup noted that adversity towards BTC dropped significantly since the last survey, as only 58% voted for having zero interest in investing.
Key Bitcoin Levels to Watch — July 25
Bitcoin has regained a bullish bias after clearing the $33,000 – $32,700 axis. The primary cryptocurrency approached the critical $35k resistance, peaking at $34,825 (a near three-week high), before retreating to the $33.9k area.
That said, BTC could solidify its bullish ascent with a break above the $35k level, which is likely given the current sentiment in the broader market.
Meanwhile, our resistance levels are at $35,000, $36,000, and $37,000, and our key support levels are at $33,750, $33,000, and $32,000.
