One-tenth of United States-based Companies Eye Bitcoin for Treasury Reserve

According to the projection from River, a Bitcoin-focused fintech company in the United States. There is going to be a significant shift in how 10% of U.S.-based corporations may approach their treasury reserves in less than two years.

It was highlighted in the report that a substantial fraction of the nation’s companies are expected to covert 1.5% of their cash reserves, approximately $10.35 billion, to Bitcoin over the next 18 months.
However, if this is true, then the digital asset is indeed an outstanding alternative to traditional financial strategies.

Bitcoin: A corporate Treasury Asset

Bitcoin’s feature as a store of value and hedge against inflation has been gaining momentum. This can be seen in the ways economic agents explore different means to diversify their reserves. To this end, BTC is viewed as a solution for treasury management that can stand economic meltdowns better than conventional assets like cash or bonds.

The forecasted acquisition of Bitcoin by these companies, according to the prediction, suggests that after this phase, more companies are likely to follow suit due to the adoption of blockchain technology by financial institutions.

Regulatory Uncertainty in Bitcoin’s Market

Cryptocurrencies remain a relatively new and poorly understood assets by many. While the U.S. government and financial regulators are still formulating rules, Companies looking to invest in Bitcoin may face ambiguous tax implications and evolving legal frameworks.

However, as suggested by the River’s analysts, early adopters may likely gain a competitive edge as the coin value grows and also from favorable shifts in government policy.
