As the Bitcoin community eagerly anticipates the upcoming Halving event, a mix of hope and caution colors the market sentiment. While some analysts remain optimistic, others, like those at JPMorgan, are more skeptical about Bitcoin’s immediate future.
A recent Bloomberg report reveals that JPMorgan’s analysts, led by Nikolaos Panigirtzoglou, have highlighted concerning trends, such as net outflows from Spot Bitcoin ETFs, indicating a bearish sentiment among investors. Additionally, the sustained interest in CME Bitcoin futures raises doubts about Bitcoin’s price stability, according to the strategists.
Despite a recent price correction, JPMorgan believes Bitcoin is still overbought. They predict further price dips leading up to the halving in mid-April, citing the decline in net inflows into Spot ETFs as evidence that investors may continue profit-taking.
JPMorgan’s research note reiterates their bearish outlook, with a previous forecast suggesting a potential drop to $42,000 post-April as excitement around the Halving subsides.
Rekt Capital Makes Argument for Bullish Bitcoin Outlook
On the other hand, crypto trader and analyst Rekt Capital offers a more optimistic view. He outlines four phases of bitcoin halving, focusing on a re-accumulation period that could last up to five months. During this phase, investor sentiment might be affected by boredom, impatience, and disappointment with Bitcoin’s immediate returns.
Rekt Capital suggests that this cycle’s re-accumulation phase could occur around the new all-time high area, potentially resulting in a shorter sideways trading range before Bitcoin resumes its upward trajectory.

While JPMorgan’s analysis raises concerns about Bitcoin’s short-term prospects, other experts like Rekt Capital see the potential for growth post-Halving.
Investors are advised to prepare for volatility but also remain alert for opportunities that may arise after this significant event. The future of Bitcoin may be uncertain, but it promises to be an exciting journey for cryptocurrency enthusiasts.
