Binance Employs New CCO to Tackle Public Affairs Regulatory Concerns

In line with its commitment to boost its regulatory compliance, Binance has tapped GE and Edelman veteran Patrick Hillmann to serve as the company’s new Chief of Communications Officer. Hillmann will assume the responsibility of Binance’s public affairs matters.

The behemoth exchange made the announcement in a press release, highlighting the new CCO’s responsibilities. Hillmann will oversee the company’s corporate communications, public affairs, media relations, and stakeholder engagement efforts.

The new CCO will work hand in hand with Binance’s compliance and security teams to tackle regulatory issues as they arise.

Speaking in the latest development, Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao noted that:

“We are working hand-in-glove with regulators around the world toward our mutual goal of protecting users, encouraging innovation, and further establishing the industry. Patrick’s fifteen years of experience working on global regulatory issues, such as GDPR, will be critical in advancing that work.”

Hillmann previously served as the Global Head of Innovation on Edelman’s crisis and risk practice. Before that, he acted as a senior government affairs and public affairs held public affairs positions at General Electric (GE) and the National Association of Manufacturers.

Just recently, the behemoth exchange hired a former US Treasury Criminal Investigator to boost its regulatory compliance practices and employed Mark McGuiness as its Chief Regulatory Liaison Officer.

Key Binance Coin Levels to Watch — October 29

Following a widespread crash in the crypto market over the past 48 hours, Binance Coin (BNB) dropped below the critical $470 level but found healthy support from the $436 line, which helped it resurface above the $488 price point.

However, BNB now faces the $500 – $505 zone and needs to post a sustained break above this level. Failure to do so could create a double top pattern, which could spell additional declines in the mid-term.

Meanwhile, our resistance levels are $500, $520, and $540, and our key support levels are $488, $470, and $460.
